Sandwich Solution
by Alaina R. Alexander
During the weekend, I don't want to spend a lot of time and/or money on my menu.
I've come up with a great solution.
It's all about a few slices of fresh deli turkey on sour dough bread anda half slice of Havarti cheese. I put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds to melt the cheese. (During the winter time you can throw it in the oven for 5-10 minutes to melt the cheese). After I remove the sandwich from the microwave, I rub a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil on both sides of the sandwich. I also sprinkle some garlic pepper on the top of the sandwich.
All together the ingredients cost around $13. You can make at least six sandwiches with a 1/2 pound of fresh deli turkey, a 1/2 pound of Havarti cheese and a full loaf of sour dough bread.
